Welcome to Supply Chain Operations. The ultimate goal of our many operational groups is to provide a supply chain that yields the highest return on assets in our industry by achieving superior levels of customer service, inventory yield, asset utilization, cost efficiency, speed to market, and cycle time.
The Contract Management Office works with internal business units and strategic vendors to consolidate and globalize the contract management process. This utilizes our best practices in negotiating pricing, terms and conditions to maximize short and long term cost savings. We also monitor ongoing performance with respect to contract compliance and service level.
The Customer Service Centers and Crossdocks form a national network of order fulfillment warehouses and flow-thru facilities which fulfill customer delivery orders for the different business channels and move product to stock the retail Store shelves.

Inventory Management planners and analysts work in partnership with trade vendors and Merchandising to manage the inventory replenishment processes for all locations and business channels. Planners employ Office Depot analytical tools and systems to source, allocate, and flow product to the Stores and CSCs. Their ultimate objective for efficiency and cost-effective replenishment: The right products in the right quantities in the right places at the right times

The IT Procurement department processes all Information Technology fixed assets purchasing. The IT Procurement office provides the administrative operations for processing all Information Technology fixed assets purchases.
Operations Support is a multi-faceted department comprised of teams representing the field and corporate perspectives of CSC and XDK operations. The Corporate Team acts as analytical liaisons between systems, engineering, and reporting. The Field Team works with the facilities to implement operations enhancements and determine best practices. The Engineering Team analyses systems, automation and manpower requirements for engineering standards and operational improvements. The Training & Compliance Team is responsible for the development, delivery and assessment of the various training and operational initiatives for the warehouses and crossdocks.
The Transportation department provides the logistical services and infrastructure needed to move merchandise within the supply chain efficiently and cost-effectively. This program includes the movement of international and domestic product to crossdocks, warehouses, and stores. It moves product between facilities and store locations. And, with the combination of third party couriers and private fleet, it ensures on-time customer delivery.
