Office Depot Rewards® | MaxPerks® General Questions

Can I use my Office Depot Rewards® membership card when shopping at OfficeMax stores?

Your Office Depot Rewards® membership card cannot be used at OfficeMax® stores or on officemax.com. However, starting Jan. 1, 2015, you can use your member number at both Office Depot® and OfficeMax® stores to earn rewards in the new Office Depot ®|OfficeMax ® Rewards program.

Will I still be able to use my Office Depot Rewards® membership number when I make online purchases?

Yes. There is no change Office Depot Rewards members’ ability to earn and redeem rewards when the shop at officedepot.com

Can I be in both programs?

Yes, you can be in MaxPerks until December 31, 2014.

Will my membership number be accepted at both OfficeMax® and Office Depot® stores, no matter which program I'm enrolled in?

No. However, starting January 1, 2015 you can use your member number in both Office Depot® and OfficeMax® stores to earn rewards in the new Office Depot ® | OfficeMax ® Rewards program.

2014 MaxPerks®

Will I still be able to use my MaxPerks® member number when I make online purchases?

Yes, starting on September 13th, 2014. MaxPerks® Rewards members can now earn and redeem their MaxPerks® rewards at OfficeDepot.com, as well as at OfficeMax.com with their member number.

What will happen to my MaxPerks Rewards?

Your rewards are safe, you will continue to earn and redeem rewards as you have been through December 31, 2014. Any rewards earned as of December 31st, 2014 will be sent out in January of 2015.

Can I use my MaxPerks® card when shopping at Office Depot® stores?

Unfortunately, you cannot use your MaxPerks® card at Office Depot®. Starting on January 1, 2015 you can use your member number in both OfficeMax® and Office Depot® stores to earn rewards in the new Office Depot ®| OfficeMax ® Rewards program.

What happens to my MaxPerks® if I sign up for Office Depot Rewards®?

You will now be part of two programs -- Office Depot Rewards® and MaxPerks® -- through Dec. 31, 2014.

Can I be in both programs?

Yes, you can be in MaxPerks® until December 31, 2014.

Are you getting rid of one of them?

Beginning January 1, 2015, the loyalty program of the combined company will be the Office Depot® | OfficeMax® Rewards program, similar to the current Office Depot Rewards® program.

What is the new Office Depot ® | OfficeMax ® Rewards program?

The new program starting January 1st, 2015 will be similar to the current Office Depot Rewards® program. See below for additional program details.

Rewards

How do I earn rewards in the new program?

You can earn rewards in so many ways by 1) getting 10% back in rewards on paper, ink, toner, and copy, print, & shipping purchases, 2) receiving rewards for recycling your ink & toner cartridges, 3) enjoying members-only offers & promotions, and 4) get rewarded for celebrating your birthday with us.

How many points do I need to earn a rewards certificate?

Your rewards are issued in points and for every 1,000 points you earn, you receive a $10 rewards certificate.

Is there a limit to how much I can earn?

There is no limit to the rewards you can earn.

Do rewards carry over from month to month?

Rewards are issued as points. Point balances less than 1,000 carry over from month to month through the end of the calendar quarter. Balances of less than 1,000 points expire at the end of each quarter. For example, if at the end of the quarter you have 2,800 points, you will receive a $20 Rewards certificate for your 2,000 points and the remaining 800 points will expire.

When and how are rewards certificates issued?

Rewards are issued as points. Rewards certificates are issued online within 30 days after the end of the month to members who have earned at least 1,000 points.

Do rewards certificates expire?

Yes, rewards certificates expire 60 days from the date of issuance. The expiration date is printed on your rewards certificate.

Ink & Toner Recycling

What do I get back for each cartridge recycled?

You get $2 in rewards for each ink or toner cartridge that you recycle, up to 10 cartridges per month, when you make a $10 qualifying purchase the same month. You can recycle additional cartridges, but rewards will only be issued on 10.

What is a qualifying purchase for ink and toner recycling?

Qualifying purchases include any product or service purchase made in store, online, by phone or fax excluding: taxes; delivery fees; postage stamps; gift and prepaid cards; and purchases made with Office Depot® Rewards, MaxPerks® and Merchandise Cards/Certificates.

What ink and toner cartridges qualify for rewards?

All brands of ink and toner qualify for rewards.

When will I receive my recycling rewards?

Rewards are issued as points. Recycling rewards are included in your rewards certificate when you earn at least 1,000 points. For every 1,000 points earned you will receive a $10 rewards certificate.

If I forget to use my membership card when shopping, can I still earn points for my purchase?

Yes. Log in to your account and click "Add a Purchase." on the Account Overview page. Only purchases made within the current calendar quarter can be added to your account.

What If I lose my membership card?

You can print a replacement card immediately by logging in to your account and clicking "Print Membership Card" on the Account Overview page. A new window will open with a PDF of your card. Print the PDF and bring it to your nearest Office Depot store to have it laminated for FREE!

How do I become a Choice Member?

What is a qualifying purchase for Choice Member status?

Qualifying purchases include any product or service purchase made in store, online, by phone or fax excluding: taxes; delivery fees; purchases of third party gift and prepaid cards, postage stamps; and purchases made with Office Depot® Rewards and Merchandise Cards/Certificates.

What are the benefits of being a Choice Member?

Choice Members get 5% back in reward points on the 5 product categories of their choice.

How do I select my 5 Choice Member product categories?

Log in to your account and click on the "Choice Members" link on the Account Overview page to select your categories.

Can I change my 5 additional product categories?

You can update your product category selection at any time. Once you begin earning Choice Member points, any changes you make will take effect in the quarter after you re-qualify for Choice Member status.

How do I maintain my Choice Member status?

Choice Member benefits are valid for one quarter. To maintain Choice Member status you must continue to spend $200 on qualifying purchases each quarter to be eligible for Choice Member benefits the following quarter.

How do I track my Choice Member status?

In order to track your progress in becoming a Choice Member, log in to your account and visit the Account Overview page to view your qualifying spend-to-date.

Will I receive any special promotions?

Yes! We are dedicated to providing our members exclusive offers and promotions.

What if I forget my login name?

Click the "Forgot your member number?" link located in the Account Login screen. You can also log in with your member number. To find your username, click on the "Login Settings & Security Question" link in the "Your User Settings” section on the Account Overview page.

What if I forget my password?

When prompted to enter your password, you can click on the "Forgot your password?" link next to that field.

How do I activate my account?

Visit officedepot.com/rewards and click Activate. Enter your member number. Then, just answer the questions when prompted.

How do I change my account information?

Log in to your account and click on the "Edit Contact Information" link in the “Your User Settings” section on the Account Overview page. To save your revised information, be sure to click "Update."

How many points do I need to earn a Rewards Certificate?

You will receive a $10 Rewards Certificate for every 1,000 points earned.

Office Depot® Reward Bucks are only issued online and are issued separately from your regular monthly reward certificate.

Do I have to earn a minimum number of points to earn Office Depot® Reward Bucks?

Office Depot® Reward Bucks are issued in connection with select special offers and you do not need to earn a minimum number of points to get rewarded! As long as you make the qualifying purchase, you'll earn the Office Depot® Reward Bucks described in the offer.

Are Office Depot® Reward Bucks the same as a rewards certificate?

Office Depot® Reward Bucks are issued separately from your regular monthly rewards in the form of an Office Depot reward certificate and may be used in the same manner as any other reward certificate.

I receive my rewards certificates by mail. Can I get Office Depot® Reward Bucks in the mail too?

Office Depot® Reward Bucks offers are only issued online. To get your Reward Bucks you will need activate your account. Visit officedepot.com/rewards and click “Activate.” Then enter your member number and follow the prompts to create your account. Once your account is created, all of your reward certificates will be issued online only.

What if I lose my rewards certificate?

We cannot replace lost, stolen or expired rewards certificates. Lost certificates that have not been used may be reprinted by logging in to your account and clicking on the "Rewards Certificate" link on the Account Overview page. Please safeguard your rewards certificates and treat them like cash. Certificates that have been used cannot be replaced.

Do rewards certificates expire?

Yes, rewards certificates expire 60 days from the date of issuance. The expiration date is printed on your rewards certificate.

Are there any exclusions when redeeming my rewards certificate?

Rewards certificates cannot be used on purchases of any gift or prepaid cards.

Can I use my rewards certificates with coupons?

Yes. We accept valid coupons when you make a purchase with your rewards certificates. Purchases made with Office Depot Rewards Certificates or Merchandise Cards do not qualify for points.

How can I check the balance on my rewards certificate?

Remaining balances will display on the bottom of your store receipt. You can also log in to your account and click on the "View My Reward Certificates" link on the Account Overview page. All unexpired certificates with a full or partial balance will show on that page.

What if I do not have a printer to print my certificate?

No problem! Visit Copy and Print Depot™ in one of our stores to access your account and print your rewards certificate.
