Rated 3.5 out of 5by 145 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5by Two bad experiences We bought this for my daughter, for a computer desk. The first one we got, we couldn't assemble. The instructions are so badly written, that you have to guess at each step. A few of the holes for the camlocks were so loose that the locking piece fell out. We took it back and were given a replacement, thinking that we had just got the odd lemon. The next time, we had a professional try to put it together. After working with it for a half hour, he pronounced a piece of junk and told me to get my money back. The camlocks wouldn't hold, etc. This is just a bad product, and we are surprised that Office Max carries it. Oh, the 3 stars for appearance? That's for the photo on the box. Looks great. Wish we could have put one of them together. September 8, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 Disappointed I was excited to buy this desk for my daughter for her first apartment at college. I ended up being disappointed and frustrated. I have never felt the need to review a product before, but this desk was a nightmare. So difficult to assemble, the instructions were hard to understand, hardware was labeled incorrectly and we had to drill new holes to get the drawers to even work. What had been a very smooth move turned into a long, terrible process because of this desk. After finally getting it together as best as we could, we left. We were not even gone 30 min before she called to tell me the keyboard tray had fallen out and it was very unstable. I don't think I will buy another piece of furniture from office max again and I would never recommend it to anyone. August 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5by Terrible, tedious to assemble The reason this is $120 is because you have to assemble everything. Look carefully at the one in the store. You have to put in every screw, every bracket, and every cam yourself. The holes for screws aren't even tapped, just marked with a dot. With stuff hardly lining up, this assures that every screw will go in crooked and not allow for easy assembly. The instructions tell you to use glue with every dowel, but caution against using too much. However, every hole for the dowels is about 1/8'' larger than the dowel, so every dowel is extremely loose, and the glue won't even help secure it. The instructions are backwards in my opinion. This tells you to start building it from the top. It would be a bit nicer if I could start building from the bottom. It also tells you to put in dowels before securing screws where they'll get in the way of the useless allen wrench. Speaking of the useless allen wrench, it won't reach the bottom of the hole where the screws it's used for are located. I had to get my own allen wrench that was longer so it could reach and also clear the dowels that were in the way. The instructions are also a little ambiguous. The labeling system could be better. All the screws and fasteners are given a number, so it's confusing when it says use 3 of the (7) screw to secure this panel. This has taken me 3 days to build after work. July 31, 2014
