I am going to return this and get a digital one. It does not line up at zero instead the indicator sits at 1/2 oz.

I like having a basic postal scale at home to occasionally weigh large and/or heavier than usual envelopes. I had an Office Depot brand 1 lb scale purchased a few years ago, but they no longer make replacement postal rate charts for the front of that model (that ticked me off) . So,I've been looking for an inexpensive scale for well over a year. Finally, I recently found Office Depot offered this 2 lb scale (more than I need, but at least it cost a lot less than the electronic ones that would be far more than I need for home use). ...I ordered the scale online with home delivery. The first scale I received arrived with a busted spring mechanism. The return/exchange process for Office Depot worked quite well. Office Depot sent me an email with a printable return label and return authorization number that I printed out and attached to the package with the broken scale. The email also told me when a driver would be scheduled to pick up the package (about 3 days later). I just left it outside my door and he picked it up. Meanwhile, a new scale was delivered within a couple days (and it worked perfectly). ...The scale is not heavy duty, but just what I need for home use.

Dial needs to be reset often. Print on label is very small. When the postage rate increases, they do not sell labels with the new rate.

Each time we use it, we have to reset the dial to 0. just went to order the new dial, which is coming from overseas and could take up to 6 weeks to arrive.
