Crayola Dry-Erase Colored Pencils, Assorted Colors, Pack Of 8
Not worth using for anything
I agree with the others that these are impossible to sharpen. They don't even seem to fit in a regular pencil sharpener, at least not without gumming them up. Not sure what they are made out of. Looks like a thick crayon marker. They don't do the job at all because they break instantly. Plus, the bottom end is a mess. We thought it was an eraser, but it certainly wasn't! Some kind of melted mess!

Sharpening these is nearly impossible as they break very easily. They also break when my 5-year-old uses them for handwriting practice. He'll be using regular pencils or dry-erase markers from now on.

For Older Homeschooling Children -Very Useful
This product was an answer to prayers. They work great for older children and make a finer point than the wipe crayons. I also have a 'lefty' and she drags her hand as she writes and erases #dry erase# markers as she does so. These do not erase easily like the markers, but do wipe off easily with a baby wipe. I use them on a board and also with worksheets that are in plastic sleeves. They are a great money saver to reuse curriculum in a large family. They are a bit of a chore to sharpen, but not impossible. I wish they came in plastic sheathes like the "Twistables" , then they would be perfect requiring no sharpening! I am a little sad about the horrible reviews, I better stock up in case they are discontinued.

Not Worth the Money
These pencils are junk. They take forever to sharpen because the lead breaks before you ever get past the wood. Once you finally get the pencil sharp enough to use, the lead again breaks while you are writing. I thought these would work for my 5 year old to practice writing his letters in his dry erase workbook, but, they are frustrating than useful.
