These just break well sharpening and if you get them sharpened the minute my 5 year old starts writing his letters they crumble I thought maybe it was him pushing too hard but I tried and same result.... I love Crayola because there products are usually so outstanding but my son was so happy to get them and I thought it would be better than a marker for learning to write but not so much :/ hopefully they fix this issue!

If Crayola would make these in a twistable version they would be a top seller. Others have said the same. Sharpening issue could be solves with the plastic outer barrel. We love the idea of a fine tip harder to smear dry erase writing utensil. We just want one that works as desired.

I agree with the others that these are impossible to sharpen. They don't even seem to fit in a regular pencil sharpener, at least not without gumming them up. Not sure what they are made out of. Looks like a thick crayon marker. They don't do the job at all because they break instantly. Plus, the bottom end is a mess. We thought it was an eraser, but it certainly wasn't! Some kind of melted mess!

Sharpening these is nearly impossible as they break very easily. They also break when my 5-year-old uses them for handwriting practice. He'll be using regular pencils or dry-erase markers from now on.
