Crayola? Dry-Erase Colored Pencils, Assorted Colors, Pack Of 8
this would be awesome if it was a twistable
If Crayola would make these in a twistable version they would be a top seller. Others have said the same. Sharpening issue could be solves with the plastic outer barrel. We love the idea of a fine tip harder to smear dry erase writing utensil. We just want one that works as desired.

Not worth using for anything
I agree with the others that these are impossible to sharpen. They don't even seem to fit in a regular pencil sharpener, at least not without gumming them up. Not sure what they are made out of. Looks like a thick crayon marker. They don't do the job at all because they break instantly. Plus, the bottom end is a mess. We thought it was an eraser, but it certainly wasn't! Some kind of melted mess!

Sharpening these is nearly impossible as they break very easily. They also break when my 5-year-old uses them for handwriting practice. He'll be using regular pencils or dry-erase markers from now on.

For Older Homeschooling Children -Very Useful
This product was an answer to prayers. They work great for older children and make a finer point than the wipe crayons. I also have a 'lefty' and she drags her hand as she writes and erases #dry erase# markers as she does so. These do not erase easily like the markers, but do wipe off easily with a baby wipe. I use them on a board and also with worksheets that are in plastic sleeves. They are a great money saver to reuse curriculum in a large family. They are a bit of a chore to sharpen, but not impossible. I wish they came in plastic sheathes like the "Twistables" , then they would be perfect requiring no sharpening! I am a little sad about the horrible reviews, I better stock up in case they are discontinued.
