Brother? MFC-J870DW Inkjet All-In-One Printer, Copier, Scanner, Fax 4.2 5 257 259
don't waste your money on this one don't waste your money... install is easy, runs great for almost a month then won't print any more than 3 pages at a time without getting a com error and it goes through ink like no one's business. Full re-install didn't fix anything at all.... once it gets the com error you have to pull the power cord to do a full power restart. We haven't printed more than 100 pages in the 9 months we've had it (mostly black text/line art) and we've gone through two sets of color ink (on the third now) and 3 black.... all I can figure is that it consumes the ink during self clean, which it seems to do often. Our old HP printer worked flawlessly for 9 years and the only reason we got rid of it was the cost of ink for that old beast was almost as much as buying a new printer. December 18, 2014
Great all in one printer I should have never even switched to HP and never will use any except upgrades I find of use but only from Brother. December 17, 2014
Great Value I researched printers on Consumer Reports and decided to try this one based on photo print quality and ink value. I set up as a USB printer and was quickly printing my photo Christmas cards. The print quality is very good for both photographs and normal text. I also found the scanner/copier to be easy to use. The rate of ink usage has met my expectations. It has a small footprint, which is great for my home desk. Yes, I would recommend this printer to others. December 15, 2014
