Over priced & Nonfunctional
Not very good as any kind of tape dispenser.
Cheaply constructed and can forsee it easily falling apart under intended usage. Especially, the metal cutting edge.
Tape provided with purchase is about 1/2 that of a typical roll.....more price gouging.
Strickly a novelty or toy item at best. Unfortunately at gold plated price.

Adorabel Black Shoe tape dispenser, Another Use
I've bought several of these darling Shoe tape dispensers but not for using the tape!! I use it for a Smaller Cell phone holder( while charging the phone ) by leaving in the tape holder without tape and the phones sit right in front of it perfectly!!! An I-Phone will fit in the slot under the tape holder (removed) if you put it in sideways. looks good also.. I decorated the shoe with small stick-on rhinestones and flower beads to prissy it up. Looks adorable! I plan on buying more for gifts for this use.. but! can be used for tape disp if taped or velcro to desk ! It can be decorated too!! Just a thought for it/// I love mine! Wish they would have a sale on them, they do on the other red shoe dispenser but it will not hold phones........

Love it!
My daughter purchased this for me because of my "slight" obsession with shoes. I read the other reviews concerning the weight issues & I agree there is a problem, but...I simply put strong velcro under each end of the shoe to hold it in place & it solved the problem. I would say that if you are constantly using tape, this might not be the ideal choice, but for my home office it's perfect!

merely decorative
I bought this dispenser to go with my purse sticky note dispenser (love the whole purse and shoes theme), but when I opened the package, I was sorely disappointed. I was a bit apprehensive in the store when I picked up the dispenser and felt how light it was. Usually, a tape dispenser has some type of sand or weight device to keep it steady. I saw the plastic ring under the heel and thought that maybe it was a suction cup that would stick to the desk to anchor it, so I bought it. When I pulled the dispenser out of the box, it was as I suspected: WAY to light in weight. The circular disk under the heel is not a suction cup - just a piece of clear plastic. There isn't even anything "grippy" under the sole of the shoe, like a rubber pad. I have nice office furniture and did not want to risk the plastic scratching it up when the dispenser would inevitably slide all over the place if I tried to tear off a piece of tape. I didn't even bother to load the tape because I knew immediately that I'd be taking it back. Honestly, I'm surprised at Scotch for not having put any practical thought into this product. At minimum, a tape dispenser has to have some weight to it so that you can tear a piece of tape off without picking up the unit with two hands. I would not recommend this product unless you want a random stiletto decoration just taking up space on your desk. You can't even use it as a paper weight because it's too light! You'd be better off using a real shoe. It's a shame, though, because the design of the dispenser is rather cute. If Scotch will fix the form factor flaw, I would buy the product again.
