Excellent for price
While some of the reviews of this desk sight poor quality, heavy product weight and difficult assembly, here are my thoughts:
1) Extremely heavy. Take each piece out of your car and move them into your house, individually, if possible.
2) Take your time, follow the instructions and your project will go well. This was a 2.5 hour project for me. I have pretty well advanced experience assembling furniture but this shouldn't deter anyone from doing it.
3) Make adjustments to the hinges on the CPU door, the drawer slide guides, as necessary. This will make these parts fit much better
Overall- Good product for the $159 I paid for it.

Excellent Purchase
I read the reviews before buying this desk and it is as attractive and sturdy as everyone suggested. It looks great, looks way more expensive than it was. It was time consuming to put together and I did need two people to get it upright, but it was well worth it.

Beautiful Desk
Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. I read all of the reviews before I purchased this desk, so I was not surprised to find out that assembling the desk was a bit of a challenge at some points. My husband and I felt the instructions were sometimes difficult to follow. All in all, it took us about 6 hours to put it together. However, now that we are using the desk, we could not be more pleased! It is attractive, sturdy and functional. We are extremely happy with our purchase. It has been worth the time we spent putting it together.

Beautiful Piece of Furniture
Was very pleased with the look of this desk when assembled.. Love the marble looking desk top. Very sturdy. Assembly was easy with directions and well labeled pieces. More than I hoped for. Great size, Great Look.

I am interested in getting two of these desks.
I know that the hutch comes with it, but I want to know if the hutch has to be assembled and used.

Glad you asked. No the hutch does not have to be assembled and used. The desk is very sturdy with its own separate backing cover piece and holds perfectly well on its own. I know because I used the desk alone for a week before finishing assembling and installing the hutch on top of it. There are no pre-dilled holes on the desktop so nothing shows if the desk stands alone. Desktop holes must be drilled by the installer at the time of assembly.Gender: Female

You can absolutely use without the hutch. Instructions start off with putting the top hutch together but you can skip those. There are no pre-drilled holes in the work-surface.
