Best Purchase Ever
My only complaint is that I'm having an extremely hard time in downloading the power shute software. In fact I still haven't gotten it downloaded.

Great battery backup
I purchased this battery backup on a heavy sale (read about half price), but even at the regular price it is a good buy. I have it currently connected to my mid-range gaming pc (overclocked Core i5 processor and EVGA GTX 650 Ti graphics), and it performs just fine. My power supply has the PFC that some people are concerned will cause issues without a pure sine wave input, but as far as I can tell, it is perfectly compatible. The built-in power meter is interesting, and the included software bundle should work well for automatic power management due to power failure.
Running a full gaming load and an LED monitor pulls around 200W from this unit. Although I haven't tested for half-load battery life, I'm sure it will be plenty long enough to exit a game and safely shut the computer down. Unless you're running a very high power graphics card or have delusions about how many things can be safely backed up, this should work fine for low and mid-range desktops.

Back UPS 750
I've been using APC UPS's for 20 yrs. Love the trade in option. Each time the old UPS is ready for upgrade, I go on line & purchase the replacement. In 2-4 days the replacement is delivered & I send back the old one. I did have a struggle connecting the battery on the new replacement this time, but it's working well now.
