We purchased this a year ago. The base phone requires 5 AAA batteries, in addition to being plugged in. If the batteries fail, the phone fails... as do all the remotes. Something is causing the phone to eat batteries in one day. It will take 5 to 7 business days for them to even think about getting us a new phone.
Buying something else today.

I do not recommend any RCA product. Drove 45 min three times to replace faulty equipment. Customer service at RCA did nothing to compensate. Greatly effected our new business. RCA wanted to charge me for shipping to replace the handsets that were broken Ive only had system for a month DO NOT BUY RCA

I bought this phone and it has a terrible echo. I called RCA and they said they'd never heard anything like it! (really!) I changed all the batteries and they said the only thing it could be was that it was plugged into an outlet that had another appliance in it. There's a light fixture in my jack....I can't remove that and if this phone is that sensitive, it's distracting to the caller and me. (and clients have complained). Pay more for a better phone. That's what Im doing next
