H-7C Key Features
Protect yourself and your family while shredding with Safety Lock. This patented feature disables the H-7C for added safety protection.
Continuous 3 Minute Run TimeEvery shredder runs for a specific period of time before it needs to cool down. The longer you need to shred, the more run-time you will need. The Fellowes® H-7C cross-cut shredder features a three minute run time, with a 30 minute cool down period.
And there’s more – the Fellowes® H-7C is built to last with solid steel cutters, a powerful motor, and parts that are engineered to outperform our competitors. With its cross-cut capability, it is also tough enough to cut through plastic credit cards, paper clips, and staples while ensuring confidential documents are shredded into 5/32" x 1-3/8" unreadable pieces. Additionally, the H-7C features a 3.6-gallon bin.

H-7C Choosing The Right Shredder
With Identity Theft concerns at an all-time high, the need to protect personal information is more important than ever. And these days, it’s no longer just what you shred that matters—it’s how small you shred it. Shredders with a smaller cut size will help keep your information secure long after you dispose of the particles. The smaller the cut size, the higher the security level.
Shredder productivity goes beyond mere sheet capacity or speed. When shopping for a shredder, consider the machine’s throughput, or the efficiency with which it can get the job done. Throughput combines the three most critical features that contribute to a shredder’s performance:
Sheet Capacity x Speed (feet per minute) x Duty Cycle = Throughput
For example, a shredder that can handle 15 sheets may seem more productive than one with a 14 sheet capacity. After all, it can shred more sheets at a time! But as the example below illustrates, Shredder B is actually two times more productive than Shredder A, due to a faster shred speed and a longer duty cycle. This means you can get more done at one time, so you can quickly move on with your day.
|Model||Sheet Capacity||X||Speed||X||Duty Cycle*||=||Throughput|
|Shredder A||15||X||4 FPM||X||15 min on||=||900 sheets|
|Shredder B||14||X||11 FPM||X||12 min on||=||1,848 sheets|
*Duty Cycle is the amount of time a shredder can run continuously before needing a cool-down period.
