Pacon Chart Stand, 50 Non-Adjustable 5 5 1 1
Great chart stand! Putting the stand together is simple and easy. These stands come apart without any tools needed so i can easily store them over the summers when they are not in my classroom. They are not adjustable which is a plus for me as I don't need trouble-making teenagers messing with the adjustments anyway. They adjustable chart stands adjust with mere tension and they ultimately fall on one side then the other making them constantly lopsided. These do not have that problem. I use them for a different purpose than most. I bought 6 and I actually cable tie them to the students desks and line those 6 desks along a back wall which created 6 "study carrels". These stands are the perfect dimensions for this. they are the right height at 50" and the right width at 28" (perfect width of a horizontal poster board). I do wish they were stronger, but I guess you can't have everything. The only real con I can come up with is the price, it is way over priced for what you get, but without much competition on the market you're stuck with whatever price they choose. February 3, 2013
