hydraulics failing seat flat.
SAME PROBLEM with hydraulics !!! chair is useless after 8 months
I too had problems with hydraulics going out at about 1 year. Seating area went flat within six months and the finish on the legs rubs off fairly easy. Its a wide chair so I'm able to open my legs and get comfortable but it only lasted one year before failing. No recommended.

Nice chair, but defective hydraulics
I have had my chair just over a year. Its been a "nice looking" chair, but the cushion padding is already "flat". This makes it not so comfortable only after 1 year.
Also, for the past 2 months the hydraulic chamber has been going out. (I only weigh 210 lbs, so its not like I'm overloading it) What this means is when I put the chair to max height with the lever adjustment. Within 10 minutes or so, I'm noticing myself much shorter to my desk than I was. Sure enough, I adjust the lever again and the chair raises all the way to the top again. It happens very slow, and you can't really tell you are "falling" but sure enough... you are.
I cannot begin to tell you how annoying it is to try and work like this...

It's ok...but
I'm 6'4" 220lbs. Fits well and is comfortable. Iv'e owned it for 4+ months. The leather is VERY thin and scuffs off to a fabric under-layer and the "chrome" easily wears off the composition arms when rubbed against a hard surface such as the edge of a desk and open drawer. I guess "bonded leather" needs to be understood. Quality is poor for the price.
