Rated 3 out of 5by Microsoft Renewal Subscription Policy? I was interested in learning more about the 'new' Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium software, so I called Office Depot Customer Support to find out about the subscription renewal fee, however, they could not answer my inquiry. They then referred me to Microsoft customer support, which informed me that the renewal fee would be $99.99/year. Since the license covers 5 computers and includes McAfee, it might be a good price, but just the fact that consumers have to pay a renewal fee for Microsoft Office, needs to be calculated before the purchase (some of the $$ goes to McAfee). Check it out at: I think Office Depot needs to include the renewal price in their ad so the consumer has all the information. An educated consumer is a smart consumer. Think of it this way, if the renewal fee is not purchased, your software stops working! I guess this is the 'new' world in which we now live. Everyone is going to start charging annual renewal fees for everything or update fees or fees for charging fees? I wonder..... what's next? January 31, 2013
