Zebra V-301 Stainless Steel Fountain Pen, Black
A pen that does not write is of no use
I love writing with fountain pens so I was delighted to see the well-priced Zebra pen. Having now tried two different ones, I have to say it is the worst fountain pen I have ever purchased. The ink does not flow and stops about every two to three letters. It is too bad because the design is great and it is comfortable to hold. But who can afford to keep a pen around that doesn't write? I am going to be returning the four that I purchased.

I have never had a problem with leaking (as some reviews say. The cap is a little tight but the pen writes smoothly, doesn't bleed. Ink comes out consistently with no bleeding issues. Inexpensive and nice quality all together. (I do wish there were more in stock and more colors to choose from)

This pen is great it it's your first fountain pen and you what to feel what it's like to write with one. Be prepared to have inky fingers though because the ink leaks into the cap and gets all over your fingers when you use it.

Not all pens are the same
I've bought this pen twice. The first time it worked flawlessly. I later, recently, bought another. It skips. It writes with the perfect ink but the ink doesnt always flow to the bottom of the cartridge. I cleaned it and that helped. You can also run the nib over some fine grit sand paper. I would buy one and then if it doesnt work, buy another. Meh, its only a few bucks. I loved my first one. REMEMBER, IT IS A FOUNTAIN PEN, SO IT IS SLIGHTLY LESS CONVENIENT THEN A BALLPOINT.
