ASUS Eee Pad TF300T Dock, Blue 5 5 2 2
Perfectly finishes a great product Don't be tempted by cheap imitations. This is the real deal! My wife and I each got one of these keyboards 10 days after getting our TF300T tablets (see my review for the tablet on its page), and we couldn't be happier with them. First of all, ASUS calls this a "mobile dock", and that really is a much more appropriate name for it. Your tablet does, indeed, "dock" physically into a slot on the keyboard, connecting where you would plug in the USB cable. The slot rotates so the whole thing folds up nicely, looking very laptop-ish. No other keyboard I've seen on the market mates up and looks so perfect with the tablet, but that's just the start of this thing's beauty. It also has a touch pad mouse, just like most laptops, that give you a very laptop-like experience. While these features in and of themselves are nice, they begin to pale when you consider the rest of the offerings included in the package. Things like the extra battery built into it that gives you 50% more runtime. Or the full-sized SD card slot, as if the 32 GB of additional storage given by the tablets built-in micro SD card slot wasn't enough. But the coolest feature of all is the USB 2.0 port that this adds to the system. Now you might be thinking "Other tablets have USB 2.0 built into the tablet itself," and you'd be right. You might even wonder why you'd want to choose the TF300T tablet instead when you need this unit to get that USB port, and that's a fair question. The answer is simple. Can the other tablet use a full 1 TB hard drive in its USB port? This can - I've done it. Of course, why would you want to unless you were working with a lot of documents? Documents that a keyboard would make infinitely easier to work with. Naturally, separating the two is super-easy so you can just take the tablet with you if you want. For the price, I think this is the best setup around. The two pieces are as attractive together as they are individually, and they give the best user experience possible on a tablet of any price. Asus Dock Tf300T I love the versatility of this product. I considered a lap top until I got the best of both worlds with the Eee pad transformer prime tablet and the keyboard. Works hard like the laptop without the additional expense. Saves on battery life, and is so compact and lite weight you hardly no it's there. Priced right. Great investment. Can't wait for more accessories to go with this Eee Pad. January 2, 2013
