My Uniden service nightmare: My UDS655 camera had a power problem after only about a month of installation. I sent it in on Oct 25th, it was received by Unident Oct 31, and not logged into their system until Nov 4th.
11-10-14 I called 888-244-9324 at 12:05pm est and spoke with a "Beca" and I was told estimated delivery was Nov 21st. "Unacceptable"
11-19-14 - Received camera, but A/C adapter I sent in wasn't shipped back. Called, but Uniden closed.
11-20-14 - 2:05pm called repair number, but after being on hold 10 minutes, hung up and called support number. Back on hold listening to "Thank you for continuing to hold, we appreciate your patients. We realize your time is valuable and a rep will be with you shortly." Apparently, Uniden's definition of "shortly" is 27 minutes..... Spoke with a Brandi and she said she'd send an adapter right out and I should expect it in 5-7 business days. UNACCEPTABLE.... I had Brandi get approval to send it overnight.
11-21-14 - 4:25pm Received FedEX with a/c adapter. Tried "pairing" the camera to the system on each of the 3 unused channels. Will not pair, and yes, the the channels activate switch was on. When I more closely checked the camera received 11-19-14 I discovered it was not the one I sent in and in fact the serial numbers were not even close. I sent in s/n 06400096 and received s/n H05302580. Service closed... called service, but got call back later message....
11-24-24 - 9:03am est called and on hold 6 minutes until a Samantha picked up and I asked to speak with a manager. After having to explain to her everything I've been through with service, she agreed to get a manager.... back on hold I went for 16 minutes before getting a voice message telling me there was no manager available and to leave my name, number, and reason for this call.... I did leave message with my name, phone number, and problem description and then I went searching the internet for the Uniden management structure. No success but found what was listed as the "Corporate Phone Number" in Texas. Called that number and voice message directed me to the customer service number I've been calling, so I sent the email requesting contact information for service management. On-line service rep will not provide a manager contact and telephone number for escalation.

Took about an hour to install these--most of the time was spent running power wire through wall. Needs no a/v wire! Positioning camera was a breeze because I had the portable LCD screen outside with me to view how I wanted camera positioned. Both cameras fired up and connected wirelessly to potable screen with no issues. Has a good range also. Only issue is when trying to view on my phone. The LCD has to be connected to your computer via USB for you to view your cameras on your phone. Sometimes you can view cameras and sometimes they won't pull up on your phone. Would be great if LCD screen connected to your computer network via WIFI. Cameras work great and portable screen is excellent in the home. Only issues is viewing on phone
