I knew this would require assembly but I didn't know that it would require every component to be assembled (e.g., installing lock, drawer rails to allow drawers to slide in and out). I took my time and laid out all the pieces because the instructions (which are only pictures) are tiny and not clear. I noticed one of the images was actually a mirror image of how the item should be assembled, so take your time and use common sense to think about how the drawers need to slide out to make sure rail placement is correct. Even with taking my time, I assembled two of the side rails too close to the top because there was an additional set of drill holes! Once assembled, it looks nice and solid but it is particle board so it's heavy. I was a little disappointed that everything except the drawer fronts was gray but it's going under my shell desk so not a deal-breaker. Also should be noted that, when the bottom drawer is locked, the middle drawer is locked too. Not a big deal to me, but thought it was worth mentioning.

Took a bit of time to put together but it looks good underneath the new wooden desktop we had installed. Seems to be sturdy enough and the drawers pull in and out well.

This piece was more difficult to assemble than expected; the instructions were a series of pictures. Proper orientation was highlighted for some pieces, but not for others, though it was needed. Take a lot of time putting this together. In particular, aligning the drawer faces is a tough task.

The end product looks nice, but getting there was a chore. I am pretty good at mechanical assembly as long as the instructions have some illustrations - but these instructions are 99% pictures and imprecise images of screws and fasteners that look very similar.
Despite carefully laying the parts out as illustrated, I managed to mount the drawer slides to extend in opposite directions. Then I found that, after having carefully taken apart the slides and mounting the guide to the side panel, and re-inserting the slide, since I did it backwards, I can't take it apart to fix it since the slide release is now inaccessible - until I noticed that by lining up a random very small hole over the screw and using a tiny screwdriver that fit through the small hole, I barely had enough leverage to remove the screw - but only because I did not have it really tight. . .When I corrected that, I then had the top and bottom panels reversed. (sigh)
Cons-If you really tighten the screws, they will countersink right through the panel. The top 2 drawers don't extend as far as the file drawer so you lose some drawer space. You need to be able to lock the wheels so it doesn't roll when you open the drawer with too much vigor.
Now, putting the next one together will be a piece of cake - but this one took most of a day to assemble, disassemble, re-assemble, swear, undo it, then finally get it right.
But I like the final product.
