I bought this chair about 8 months ago because it met the recommended specs that my physical therapist gave me to improve my posture and help with chronic back and neck pain. It is very hard to find a fully adjustable desk chair in stores (most models do not have a seat tilt adjustment) and I was hesitant to purchase a chair without trying it out, especially when there is a no-returns policy, but I decided to take the risk. I've been extremely happy with this chair. It has helped tremendously in my home-office and is comfortable for extended sitting periods. If my butt or back begin to get sore, I can always adjust the tilts a little to give certain muscles or pressure points a rest. Also, I am short (5'2") and the depth of the chair, though not adjustable, is appropriate for my height (doesn't cut into the back of my thighs or knees) AND the height of the chair adjusts so that I can place both of my feet flat on the ground (this is important for my back issues).
I like the looks of the chair just fine. I use it with a pull out tray at my desk and the arm height is low enough that the chair does not get in the way. I hardly ever use the arm rests--I think they are a little wide apart and too far forward to be useful for a small person like me. The arms can be removed entirely if this is not a desirable feature. In response to one of the reviews, I find that the chair has plenty of give when I plop down (hydraulic spring).
Finally, the assembly was fairly intuitive and did not cause me any problems. I'm pleased enough with this chair, that I'm going to buy another one for work. The only con is that the back can sometimes make a light creaking noise if you lean back into it really hard or shift your weight a certain way. It isn't very noticeable but might bother some people. In my opinion, this is a great chair for the money and should be made available in stores.

My physical therapist recommended this chair. She buys this model for her office staff. I wish I'd known about it before I bought a mesh chair in August which has not worked out for me. The Patriot chair is an improvement in several ways. The fabric feels better on my body than the hard mesh. Important also is the myriad ways in which this chair can be adjusted. Because you can adjust the arms in & out, up & down and move the seat up & down, and the back is adjustable as well, I feel supported in a more more posturally-correct position. This translates into a major decrease in mid-back pain for me, as well as fewer headaches. I will note, however, that it has taken almost a full two weeks for the off-gassing smell to dissipate. Overall, I am well-pleased with this purchase. I might add that it was exceedingly easy to assemble!
