disappointing I've owed this computer for a few months, and like many others I have been disappointed with the quality of the product. Having owed a previous T series laptop for several years before buying this one, I was very surprised at the poor reviews I read about this computer. I should have listened. The fan IS loud at times. The touchpad IS annoying. The lack of LED indicators for capslock and HD activity IS inconvenient. But my biggest issue with this laptop is the audio. The two speakers are at the bottom center of laptop, so close together it sounds like mono not stereo. They sound cheap and are muffled when on your lap. Furthermore, the audio jack is unreliable, half the time the audio continues to play out of the laptop speakers when I plug in headphones, requiring a restart to correct. Also, if speakers are plugged in when booting up or going to sleep, they will "pop" very loudly. None of these problems existed with my previous T series. For the money, I expected better from Lenovo. July 15, 2014
Unusable My third Thinkpad and returning it. Loved my past two. The touchpad is totally unusable without buttons. Hate it. July 7, 2014
Disappointment Lenovo is destroying this amazing brand and its culture. Slowly they are taking away all the traditional design cue. Why there are round corners, it looks like average computer. Touchpad is totally not acceptable without physical buttons, precision is gone, it creates user annoyance when clicking quickly, which accidentally moves the cursor from its original place. Practically unusable for a fast user like me. Why can't Lenovo experiment with their IDEApad brand. Leave us alone with our Thinkpad and its tradition. July 2, 2014
disappointed The mousepad is what is most frustrating. It is incredibly inaccurate. I like the two finger right click, and the ability to click anywhere on the pad for a left click, however, when dragging the cursor, it stalls about half the time. The cursor will stop just a few centimeters from where you stopped your finger, so it never ultimately is pointing to what you want it to point to. This is especially difficult when working in excel or in data view in access. It is nearly impossible to select just one cell and get the selection right the first time, much less the second. Also, when in Word, if you try to use the finger scroll to scroll down, first of all, it's really difficult, but then it opens the header/footer menu. So, it's ultimately faster to scroll over and use the scroll bar, though then it takes a several seconds to actually get the cursor on the scroll bar and get it activated, because that only works about half the time, too. It's INCREDIBLY frustrating. June 24, 2014
