Complete Protection for Your Computer and ElectronicsThe P4WUSB Surge Protector, part of APC's ProtectNet Essential series, offers complete protection with a joule rating up to 1080J. It features two USB charging ports for mobile devices and two standard outlets in the event of unexpected surges in voltage from lightning, wiring faults, or utility problems.
Instantaneous Response Time
The P4WUSB has a tested surge response time of less than one nanosecond. Because the metal oxide varistor (MOV) within the unit diverts excess voltage to the ground instantaneously, your equipment's exposure to damage is minimized and can continue to function even after a surge.
Building Wiring Fault and Protection Working IndicatorAn internal thermal fuse shuts the unit off from the power source in the event that the MOV is overwhelmed by a powerful surge. By disrupting the flow of electrical current, the thermal fuse acts as a fail-safe feature, preventing excess voltage from reaching your equipment even when the MOV fails.
LED Lights Offer Advance Warning
The P4WUSB has two LED lights that indicate compromised protection in advance. The site wiring fault light lets you know whether improper building wiring may present a shock hazard. The protection working light lets you know, before and after a surge event, whether the unit is still functioning as intended.
Lifetime Warranty and Equipment Protection PolicyThis surge protector is covered by a limited lifetime warranty. This product also comes with a lifetime equipment protection policy of up to $50,000. APC will repair or replace office equipment that sustains surge-related damage while properly connected to a registered P4WUSB Surge Protector.
