Can handle large and heavy books A versatile product. Folds up slim for easy storage and transport. Unfolds and adjusts to fit every size and weight of book I throw at it. Despite its light weight it shows no sign of strain handling the heaviest books. September 22, 2014
Can't live without it I use mine everyday and take it with me when I travel.i use it For my iPad and my iPhone. Anything I need to see better and hand free. When I read holding the iPad, kindle hurts my hands after awhile so I can place this anywhere. I put it on my nightstand to read or coffee table, lap and even put it on my stomach to read in bed. Love it and am buying more to share. October 17, 2013
Good Value I bought this product to hold small and medium sized books while working on my computer. It serves this purpose, has functioned well and, at the price that I paid for it, it is certainly a good value. I've used it with a 400 page paperback training guide and it has worked just fine. It could probably handle slightly larger books, but I think that 500 pages (maybe a little bit more) is probably the upper limit on the product. One feature that I like about the copyholder is that it is fairly easy to advance book pages while keeping the book on the stand (i.e., not having to remove the book from the copyholder when needing to turn a book page). These are LARGE and HEAVY technical manuals printed on heavy paper, standard typing paper height and width and bound with spiral ring similar to notebook. An open manual spreads out to at least 18" and the height is always 11". The depth depends on the number of pages and these manuals include up to 300 pages of drawings and text. A depth of up to two inches when open (almost four inches when closed) is not uncommon.
The stand must be able to hold pages open and at an angle tha facilitates easy viewing while nearby user completes tasks according to instructions in the manuals.

Unfortunately, I do not think that this booklift will work for your needs. The maximum weight limit on this product is 10 pounds.
