Lab Engineer Review
I handle the day-to-day operations of an orthodontic lab. The techs require enough light to be able to handle very small parts that are used to create brackets, braces, retainers, and many other detail-related mechanisms used in the orthodontic field. This task light was a great solution to my problem. We have used the standard 22w tubular magnifying lamps for 20+yrs. They were good for our use, but they are hot to work under and quite bulky in comparison. I set out to find something better, which led me to this task lamp. It looks more up-to-date than the 60's look of the 22w lamp. The light is whiter and brighter, and the lamp is actually lighter in weight. The biggest difference is the cost; which is about $80 less than what we were spending on the 22w lamps. We have 8 lamps that are used from 7am - 6pm / 5 days a week for the past 14 months, and have not had any issues. I do have 1 issue, and it's the clamp. It could be better if it used a silicon gripper instead of the hard plastic grooved plate. It needs adjustment if it's move too frequently. Other than that, its a great lamp so far. I'm about to order 3 more today.

Best Lamp Ever
Had A Luxo 22 watt Fluorescent since 1970. Swivel knuckle broke, but light still works. This light blows the doors off that - 100% satisfied with this new LED light. Bright white light, and nice clean magnifying glass. Would recommend to anyone.

Worst Double Lamp Ever - Engineer
In 6 months I have been through two of these lamps, the first one lasted about 4-5 months, it started flickering after 4 months but after several minutes it would turn on, but on the fifth month I left it on for a day straight and still flickered. Brought back to the store for an exchange without a receipt, not problems, the staff was very helpful.
Sadly, now on my second led lamp, it started flickering after 2 weeks, and on the 4 week it won't stop flickering. Not even worth exchanging anymore. Buy one on amazon, and don't waste you time with terrible products that office depot shouldn't even be selling.

Great while it lasted
I have owned this lamp for about 1.5 years and use it 5 long work days every week. Over the past few weeks, when I turn it on, it flickers for several minutes before it finally comes on. I think it is about to die, so I will need to replace it. So, do I fork over the moderate cost for this light and get another 1.5 years out of a new one, or spend more on a light that might last longer? I don't think the light bulb assembly is replaceable, so the light is basically disposable. I like what it does when it works .... we'll see what else I can find.
