Rated 4.2 out of 5by 148 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5by Not decided completely yet I bought this after my last chair died with me sitting in it, supposed to support up to 500 pounds, I weigh about 330 and stand 6'5", so yes I am a big boy needing a big chair. I got help loading at the store, this sucker is heavy in the box. Got home followed the directions in assembling it and honestly I am not happy with it. Every time I sit or stand the chair pops like something is loose, but checking all the screws and connections and they are all tight and secure, so I cannot figure out where this noise is coming from. Sometimes just leaning back in the chair makes this popping noise, so I am going to keep looking but just a heads up, I plan on contacting the company and see what solutions they can offer. Other wise fairly comfortable, feels stable except when popping. April 22, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5by Worst Purchase Ever I bought this online as a store pick up. The only store close enough, was 45 minutes away. I had to drive there and back. I haven't even had this thing 13 days and the hydraulics are broken. This chair is supposed to support up to 500 lbs for up to 8 hours. That is a flat out lie. This chair is not cheap and it seemed to be built to last. I have been completely happy, until tonight, when i got up to get me a glass of water. I came back, sat down, and all the way to the bottom. DO NOT RECOMMEND. April 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5by Good chair It is a large comfortable chair. If you only have a small office you need to measure if it will fit. A small office or cubicle may be to cramped for this chair. April 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5by A Chair Built Like A Tank This is the sturdiest chair I have ever purchased and it also is pretty much the heaviest chair I've ever purchased. I feel like this is money well spent at $250 because this chair will last me about 10 years. April 4, 2015

Answer:
It does, but it's not really a feature. It's part of the back of the chair but unless you sit straight up against the back you won't notice it. I lean forward so I feel it on my lower back but it's not like super supportive. Still nice to have it, though.

Answer:
The chair has built-in lumbar in the lower portion of the back cushion. The additional foam in the lower back provides adequate support for the lower back. The lumbar area height range is between 4 to 6 inches from the seat cushion when the seat cushion is compressed under weight.

Pull the little lever out to the side and it tilts approximately 45 degrees. I do not feel like I'm going to fall over when I lean back or rock. However, no napping in this one since it won't go really far back. :)

Answer:
Pull out the handle on the right below the seat. But you can lock the tilt only in the upright position by pushing the same handle back in when upright.

I don't know how far back you can tilt when unlocked. But I don't think you can tilt it too far - far enough for the whole chair to fall over backward with you in it.

Answer:
The chair tilt is controlled with the same handle that raises and lowers the chair. If you pull the handle out you unlock the tilt and by pushing the handle in until it clicks will lock in place. It goes back pretty far (almost like a rocking chair) just depends on how far you want it.

Answer:
The arms are very well constructed and they come forward to offer elbow support without getting in the way whatsoever. Also, the arms make it easy to grasp while sitting down and serve as a guide. During assembly I thought about leaving the arms off and whether that would affect the sturdiness. This depends on how often and hard you lean back, but yes they can stay out of the assembly. I suggest trying it assembled first and only leave out the arms if necessary.

Answer:
Bonded leather is the leather equivalent of particle board. It's actually a mulch of leather made from recycled leather and leather scraps and remnants that aren't suitable for use.

The idea seems cheap and cheezy, but in my experience it actually is comfortable and attractive. It's definitely a step up from pleather. I've got no idea how it holds up long term, although I suspect it won't measure up to the real deal.

Hi, I just purchased the Realspace Pro 15000 and love it. But I do have a question, when I sit and lower it a few inches to what I like, after I get up, the chair raises back up. This causes me to adjust the height each time I sit. Is this normal for the gas cylinder? Or is it supposed to stay at the level I set it at.

Thank you,

Answer:
Mine seems to stay where I originally set it. The lowest possible height. Do you share your chair with someone who changes it constantly?

Otherwise call the 800#........................

Answer:
It should stay at the height level you have it set at. I've not had any problems with mine moving. I would contact Realspace about the problem. It sounds to me like the gas cylinder on your chair may be defective.

Answer:
It should stay at the adjusted level.Check to make sure height adjusting lever is in neutral position. If it is and it still raises it has a faulty valve.

Answer:
No, it is not normal. Once you set the height, it should remain at that setting.
