SentrySafe Fire-Safe Waterproof File 4 5 6 6
Well constructed but can be tricky to open Pros: Plenty of room inside. Built to accommodate hanging files. Seems to be very sturdy, and the lid forms a tight seal even when it isn't locked. Not too heavy for such a solid design. Con: Difficult to open until you learn the trick. (My husband said it doesn't really need a lock because no one in a hurry, like a thief, could figure out how to open it.) The trick is: 1. Press down on the black part of the lid (the part that has the product name on it). You don't have to press hard. If you are right-handed, you could use your left forearm. This takes the pressure off the latch so it will be able to move freely. (You might hear a little click as the latch is freed.) 2. Then with your other hand, press up on the white latch release, and lift the lid. Overall we love it, and it gives us peace of mind knowing that our important stuff is safe. July 29, 2014
Small, but serves an important purpose It holds a small amount of paperwork, but those can be very important papers. This little safe seems that it will do a good job of safekeeping some important documents from fire and water damage. June 14, 2014
Serves the purpose intended. Would be nice if it had a handle on top or on sides. June 13, 2014
