Nice-looking desk, the pho-leather surface is nice (did not notice this in picture). Styling is above average. Great for the price.
The directions were clear for assembly and the hardware was in separate labeled bags for each step***** This made it much easier.

Looks good, the desk was on sale and purchased at a good price. Set instructions made really easy with tools set for each step, but spare 2+ hours to put it together. In two words, best purchase

I have been looking for a desk for at least six months and just couldn't find one I liked at a price I could afford....until I found this amazing desk and of all places - Office Depot/Max! I also purchased the hutch with it and both pieces were extremely heavy, so I asked my husband to put the desk together and I would do the hutch. He was totally impressed with the way the packaged the screws, etc. They are arranged by "steps" and that helps in more ways than you can imagine. Great product and I love using it too!

Normally I would have made my own desk out of solid hardwood but I do not have the time so I decided to find a corner desk with matching hutch and fell on this piece. First off let me say that those complaining that the wood is particle board need to re-examine cost of purchase vs material. To buy a desk that looks like this made out of hardwood would set you back between $1000 to $3000. That being said the desk is made mostly out of particle board with a thin dark stained cherry veneer layered over the top which will not do well in real humid areas and peel. The particle board is very dense making the desk very heavy and sturdy. It also helps secure screws well enough that they should have a harder time pulling out than in other particle board desks. I did manage to put a scratch on one board but that was my fault because of how heavy the boards are and I rested them against each other. Time to put together was about 4hr for the desk and 2-3hr for the hutch. The instructions are pictures but clear enough that anyone with common sense can put them together. The one thing I would recommend in the instructions is to follow them to the "T". Do NOT PUT GLUE ON the wood dowel pins at both ends otherwise you will never take the desk apart to move, these are there for added structural integrity not to hold the pieces together like the metal clips do... I would recommend 2 people to put the larger pieces together when you are close to finishing to avoid damaging the finish. One of my Pros about this desk is the weight and how sturdy it is but it also falls under my Cons. The people at Office Depot helped me put it into my car but when I got home I realized the desk was over 180 lbs and too bulky for me to even carry, I am 6'6". I had to open the box and carry the pieces individually until it was light enough to drag. Once put together the desk is heavy and the only way I could adjust its location was to bench press it. The drawer's don't all align perfectly but its not bad enough to where it looks really odd. I also paid full price for the desk and hutch but with Office Depot's price match guarantee within 10 days of purchase I got back close to $200!!! In closing this desk is great for the price. I will give another review if anything comes up with this desk.
