Easy to assemble
I was a bit startled by the amount of pieces involved in this hutch, but everything was clearly marked, and the directions were simple to follow. It came out looking great.

Great Professional Space Saver
I got this on sale, and for what I paid for it, it is pretty amazing! For those reviewers that claim this hutch is flimsy must have gotten a different product. It's very sturdy- the back piece is thin, but it's meant to be so that you can punch a hole through it. The surface does scratch easily, but if you take care of your things, it's not something you need to worry about. The directions were very easy to follow and all the pieces were packaged according to step. The glass doors are nice, and they prop open. Also, the website makes the wood look very red. I suppose if you're in a really bright room, it could be that red, but in my office it looks darker and more professional. Overall, I am very happy with the hutch. Just take care of it, and it will last a long time!

**Great Appearance/Design - A Must Have***
I bought this to go with the L-shape desk and it made my home office look so professional. The only problem I had was chipping in the wood. As I hammered in the back panel the wood started to chip b/c I hammered to close to the end, but I hammered exactly on the mark...so..I was disappointed in that. I do not think the wood should use nails with hammers.
Everything else was well put together. The hutch is very sturdy and has a really nice appearance to it. ***This is a MUST have if you already bought the desk****

Great piece to compliment the desk
First I would refer you to my review of the Magellan Collection L-shaped Desk (P/N 475958) because most of what I said in that review applies to this matching hutch also. It took two of us about an hour to put this together. It is good quality and it looks really nice with the desk. All the parts were there and the assembly was straight forward and pretty easy.
The back surface is just cardboard that has perforated panels that you can knock out to run electrical cords, etc. I wish the back panel was made of more than just cardboard but it's kind of just there for looks and to hide cords or anything behind it. You can leave it off if you want to.
This was exactly what I needed for my home office, it looks very professional and since I know I will never be moving it I am very happy with the choice I made.
Pay attention to the sales though, there is no reason to pay full price for this when they offer it on sale for about 1/3 off the marked retail price.
