Pretty but flimsy
A screw pulled out during assembly that held the whole thing up. Pretty dicey till we got it put together. Looks very professional.

Durable, Large, Exquisite
I purchased this desk on sale. The only gripe i have about it is the bevel doesnt meet "perfectly" on the tabletop pieces. Years ago I purchased a desk for nearly the same cost, but it was half the size and not nearly the quality. This desk is quite large and seems to have a better vaneer. The top is much thicker and professional feeling opposed to other desks I have pruchased elsewhere in the past. This thing is a solid 1" thick, other desks are usually 1/2". I have also tested the weight capacity of the tabletop with a full aquarium weight of 340 lbs. placing a straight edge beneath, it has not bowed or warped in any spot from weight stress (if that helps).
I was able to assemble this desk in under three hours. As with anything, success is measured by preparation and perseverance. Im a diesel mechanic so the picture assembly is quite natural for me. A few key things to remember during assembly: Lay all of your pieces out neatly prior in a large room with carpet floors (it will be easier on your knees and not marr the finish). Take your time and position each piece correspondingly to you as it is in the photos, this eliminates any confusion. Also, i'd recommend a 4v cordless drill. It has the perfect power to sink your screws and not strip the wood and can be purchased at a lowes, home depot, or walmart for between 20 and 40 dollars... a very handy tool for any household. You can use a regular 20v drill if it has a clutch, and be sure to set your clutch to a very low setting. I took a few short breaks, checked the mail ect, also did this completely solo, from arrival at 3, to finish product at 6, taking about 30 minutes to unbox and layout... very simple. I will add that not everyone will be capable of assembling this alone, as some of the pieces are heavy and akward.
Based on the reviews of the hutch, I'm reluctant to make that purchase, however, If I do I will fabricate brackets for securement before drilling through my desktop. I hope this review helps.
