Lenovo 0A36227 AC Adapter 1.8 5 9 9
5lb AC Brick an expensive and unique afterthought The adapter is heavy, as in not very portable. The adapter connector is not compatible with the "round" style of legacy units, if not just to force you to use the "new" style. Durability is reduced- which is a recurring theme with the new Lenovo units. Expensive and unique, but wanting for alternatives. November 23, 2014
Huge! This thing is HUGE. I don't travel often but when I do my distain for this monstrosity deepens. At meetings everyone else pulls out their svelte AC adaptors and then guffaws when I hoist out this out of my laptop bag. I'm on the site looking for anything to replace it but, alas, I've come to understand there is nothing. November 21, 2014
Are you kidding? Lenovo inexplicably changed the adapter head from round to square for the latest version of this workstation (the W540), meaning the older (round) version will be more difficult to acquire. Because (as you can see from the reviews) these adapters are very unreliable, this will force users to shell out over $100 for a spare, unless they want their workstation to become entirely unusable. Great support Lenovo! November 16, 2014
Cheap knock-off? The original seems to work fine; ordered a second from a non-Lenovo website; product looks similar but has a tiny paper seal across the seam with Asian lettering; AND it doesn't work; AND the company has a 'Returns' section on its website lacking any actual contact information; so I'm wondering if the other reviews here citing product failure indicate Lenovo (unknowingly?) is also selling bogus adapters; I hope not cuz I just ordered a 3rd directly from in hopes of getting one in working order, or that can be returned.
