Brother P-Touch QL-500 PC Label Printer 4.4 5 61 61
Excellent printer lousy labels & support I own or managed about 4 of these printers. The printers are excellent, not so the supplies. Labels do not always stick well on a variety of normal surfaces, new cardboard boxes, envelopes etc. If the surface has ANY texture to it, you will likely have the label lift at the edges or come off. I contacted support several times and worked with Tyrone. Even sent samples of the materials being used as well as label samples. After many weeks of waiting I contacted them again, they were going to ship out two rolls of labels as a replacement. Never received anything. Bottom line: Excellent printer, poor label adhesive and really lousy support staff. August 3, 2014
Good Purchase All I do like the product, trying to figure out what size tapes I would need for different jobs. Second the Price of tapes. I do plan on buying a printer ink jet Also a P touch label maker. July 11, 2014
The Worst I bought this to use in my office. It supposedly interfaced with my work computer so I could print labels. I spent 2.5 hours trying to get the software to download onto my system (PC) and it didn't work. I got fed up and gave up for the day. The next morning I called customer support. That's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back. They had me repeat the same procedure 3 or 4 times. We ended up getting disconnected and they never called back so I boxed it back up, uninstalled everything that had installed and shipped it back. A week later I got an email from Brother. I opted out of their email updates and gave them the reason why. I then proceeded to get an email every week from them, each time opting out of the emails with the reason why. Today they send me this to review. Really!! June 24, 2014
My Second QL-500 My XP computer needed a new hard drive, but I could not reinstall my first QL-500, so I bought a new one for my Win 7. It took several attempts to load the drivers before I could print labels for my manila folders. I finally printed labels like I used to do. April 28, 2014
