I thought that these plate would be more durable, at least to hold a small sandwich and chips. But, they are very flimsy and would not hold much weight or anything that has liquids that may soak through. Next time I will spend a little more and get the plates like Chinet or Dixie that are made to hold heavier foods. These might be ok to hold a small piece of cake or chips. I wouldn't recommend carrying this plate with food on it across the room.

Saw these decorative paper plates and bought them. Probably could have bought them at a cheaper price but to me was worth it.

Very Good Paper Plate
This paper plate is sturdy enough to handle our office luncheons with ease. You'll want to be careful if you serve something that needs to be cut with a real knife (not plastic), but . . . Hello! It is a paper plate!
