I was first impressed with how well this product was packaged and the front door delivery. No dings or scratches. Since I have recently become a full-time student, I needed to set up an inexpensive home office for studying. I am using this bookcase as a mock credenza next to a table for my "work station". This bookcase handles the size of notebooks well and is very sturdy. The putty color is lighter, so it blends into the room well. I am very happy with this purchase after spending hours online seraching for the right product.

Good, sturdy bookcase, much better looking and durable than utility shelves. Had trouble getting info on weight from Hom and Office Max. The 6 shelf weighs 100+ lbs.

I have purchased different book shelves for classroom use but they always splintered or fell apart. This one looks good, will not splinter or break and will last a good, long time.

Rated 5 out of 5by DrMJA HON Open-Front Steel 30" Bookcase
I have had HON products in my dental practice that have served me well for over 15 years. Thus when its came time to develop a home office, when it came to shelving/storage it was a no brainer,HON was the first choice. What made this purchase stand out was that my prior experiences were with conventional office furniture dealers. The price on the exact product was nearly twice as much in some cases and a lead time of up to two weeks. And that was without delivery fees.Office Depot offered "free shipping", an awesome price point, and one day delivery.Talk about no brainers!!
My HON book case came assembled,on my doorstep the next business day.
The bookcase itself has that classic design, well constructed, great finish(paint) and was the perfect size for my application.
I would strongy recomend this product for the price, reputation of HON offce products and over all look.
