Swingline SmartTouch Grip Stapler
A disappointing product
This stapler is so faulty that it has become a joke in my 8th grade classroom. I bought the product because I thought it would be nice to have a stapler that wouldn't be distracting to use while the kids were working. However, its been one of the more disappointing products I've ever purchased.
The reload "ejection button" feature is one of its many design flaws. We have to really smash the button in while pulling the tray put with the other hand, a technique which typically results in some discomfort around the hands and fingers.
When we do manage to open the tray, it only ejects enough to fit in about 2 inches worth of staples, forcing us to repeat the reload process many times before finishing a stack of papers.
But all the reload hassle is really null and void because the stapler jams so much that we can't use it enough to have to reload.
When I bought the stapler, I didn't realize that it didn't hinge open fully. Nowhere on the packaging did it mention this. It seems to be a regular feature of staplers, one that you expect when you buy the product. Especially for teachers, this is a huge drawback, and I wouldn't have bought the product if that was mentioned on the packaging.

Great Quality, Effortless Stapling!!
Never have used a better stapler.
Effortless stapling (literally) as well as real quality; not just a plastic (get-me-through-the-year) type of stapler... a REAL nicely made, and pretty snazzy looking stapler. LOVE IT!

Great product with attached staple remover!
I had a similar Swingline Stapler for over 20 years and finally the spring wore out. I contacted Swingline to see if I could get a new spring and instead they sent me a new stapler. I LOVE the fact that it has a staple remover attached and I don't have to hunt for one.
Thank you Swingline for a great product.
