Rated 4 out of 5by Designer62 Great Purchase- Easy to assemble
I assembled the unit in a couple of hours without any difficulty It turned out very nice, but the straps to tie the unit to the wall to keep it from tipping don't really work they show and aren't very appealing. It really needs a drawer lock to prevent both drawers from being opened at the same time.

Rated 3 out of 5by Firefly An Okay File Cabinet
I would have to agree with some of the other reviews. The cabinet is very difficult to assemble and the instructions are misleading with false images. I ended up back pedaling on several steps due to faulty instructional images. For such a small unit, hours of time have to be spent to assemble it. I have assembled enough furniture for two lifetimes and this ranks as one of the worst to assemble. Like others mentioned, it does look nice once completed, however, I couldn't believe when I saw the drawer bottoms were made of this flimsy cardboard like material. The whole unit is made relatively solid, then they decided for some reason to make the most important part, (the drawer bottoms) of basically a cardboard like material and issued a warning not too add any weight of any kind to these drawers. This was extremely disappointing as I was hoping to use one for files, and the other for books etc. If you're looking for a nice looking piece that you just want to use to put stuff on top, this is a decent piece. Just make sure to set aside 2 to 4 hours to assemble it and disregard the images referring to track placement. They are inaccurate and will only serve to mislead you. If you are looking for a versatile file, storage unit, this is not a good choice.

Rated 4 out of 5by strawberryemmy Looks nice and easy to put together
I read the other reviews about putting this piece together and was prepared for the worst. However... it was surprisingly EASY to do. I've put together drawers before, which are difficult in general. So if this is your first time putting together drawers it will take you awhile.
The issue with the rails on Step 1...you need to UNLOCK the lever on each rail (4) to separate them into 2 pieces each. This is part "O." Part O is actually 2 separate pieces. The base of the rail attaches to B and C. The sliders attach to the drawer panels, D1 and D2. . They show a picture in the bottom right hand corner of how to unlock the lever.

You get what you pay for and if you buy this filing cabinet your getting a peice of genuine cheap pseudowood garabage
First mistake: buying furniture made from press board. But being in a money pinch and needing a filing cabinet, we bought it anyway.
Second mistake: Continuing with assembly even though upon opening box to inventory and inspect pieces, 1 piece was found to be broken. The outer box showed no signs of damage and it was not dropped after purchase. This should have been another red flag for me not to waste my time on this cabinet but since the broken piece was not going to be easily noticed we decided to continue with assembly.
During assembly one of the piece of press board broke. It was at a corner so there is no way assembly can be completed.
The design is subdued and very basic. Assembly would be fairly easy if the parts where built from a quilty material such as real wood.
In the end, you get what you pay for.
