Rated 2 out of 5by CUTAX very disappointed
There are over 30 steps and hundreds of pieces of this bookshelf. took it out of the box immediately after purchase and was stunned to see such a cumbersome process to put it together. It still sits in pieces and sits in a corner of my office. I think I will return this item because i don't have the time during my busy season to idevote to this ridiculously long process.

Rated 1 out of 5by LC Magellan 8-Cube Bookcase...Don't Buy It
Furniture requiring assembly can be good or bad, depending upon the manufacturer. I like Office Depot and thought I'd give this product a try, as I have assembled furniture before with no difficulty. This bookcase was flimsy and cheap. Screw holes were stripped and out of alignment. Boards that constituted the bookcase were easily scratched... some even were scratched upon unpacking. After I assembled it, I paid someone to haul it away. I don't like criticizing, but I will never buy assemble-it-yourself furniture again. You just don't know what you're going to get until you buy it and unpack the components.

We purchased this bookcase for my daughter's apartment based on the great reviews from other people, and we are very pleased !. This was a breeze to put together, just 2 women and 2 screwdrivers. The assembly instructions are very organized, including hardware in individual bags for step-by-step use, and it took less than 2 hours. This is a heavy, solid bookcase that looks nice...the shelves are deep which allows for larger books or other items. The only negative is the flimsy back panel but the punchouts allow for any wires / cords to pass thru wherever needed, just be careful when nailing this panel on. This is a great bookcase for the price, glad we found it !!!

Rated 5 out of 5by Sal1120 Great Piece of Furniture
Easy to assemble, did it by myself....Best thing is that all the hardware is separated by the step, which means you don't have to sort a 100 pieces. Thanks to whoever designed it!!!
