Quality desk fro great prices We really like this desk. It took awhile to put together, but it is very sturdy. It's for home use, but I think it looks professional. The directions were pretty good and even included a few jokes! My only complain would be the center "drawer" where the keyboard goes. When we tilt the drawer down, it doesn't lay flat. Instead it goes past 180 degrees. November 17, 2014
great desk for the price Very nice computer desk considering the price - has a finished back so it can sit in the middle of a room. This and the clean appearance is what attracted me to this desk. Putting it together is a day long project, but worth it i the end. October 27, 2014
Strong durable study desk I liked the desk. It is good quality. Only issue I had that it only has 2 drawers on each side. The top drawers are pretty deep. Therefore it is difficult for me to store stationary in such deep drawers. It would have been nice if the desk had 3 drawers instead of 2. Also the hole for wires is in a place where I would like to keep my monitor. So that is inconvenient as well. Other than these two issues, the desk is very good qualtiy, well priced, and useful October 27, 2014
Love my Desk Great buy! I love the sturdiness. It is very spacious. It's well worth the effort of putting it together. October 21, 2014

Answer:
You would need to put the CPU under the desk or next to it and you could defenatley put the modem and and anything else you needed on top of the desk. this desk is huge. I have the matching hutch and I feel the picture is misleading because this desk is nearly 5ft long and 21 inches wide to give you an idea i am able at anytime to have my large printer (22in) laptop (18in) and text books open on my desk and thats with the hutch.

No you have to store the CPU either under the desk or to the side. Under the desk is better because the cables can be drawn to the proper holes

The middle drawer can be used for a keyboard or drawer. The front of the drawer lays down for a keyboard but does not have to so you can use it just as a drawer also.
