Rated 5 out of 5by Ken Book case/TV stand
I just finished lining one wall of my living room with 7 of the five shelf book cases by Realspace, and was looking at TV stands for my entertainment center. I was thinking maybe a black stand, something neutral. Pricing on TV stands for flat screens ran $300 and up. I came across this Realspace book case that was the size I needed, and an exact color match. Checking in to it, I found that it is a multipurpose shelf, with ports in the back for electronic cables, and it was the perfect height, and width, and under $100. I was familiar with the high quality of Realspace so I bought it. Very pleased with the functionality, construction, and appearance. It not only saved me a few hundred dollars, but I am more pleased with it than I would have been with a simple TV stand.

Rated 5 out of 5by Bill Easy to assemble
We purchased two of the Dawson 2-Shelf bookcases. They were very easy to assemble and even had extras of some of the small parts! We like the curved line at the bottom and the tone of the wood finish. Shelves are sturdy and the top is quite handsome.
Having purchased and put together other 'KD' furniture items, these are a step above the flimsy shelves we have purchased in the past.
Good quality. We look forward to years of use.

Rated 3 out of 5by Janice Bookcase Assembly
Once I got the bookcase assembled it is great, but the assembly was tedious and the instructions were somewhat vague. It was assumed that the person assemblying the product was a carpenter and knew about how the various assembly items worked best, which I didn't.
Also, there were typos in the instructions, and improper English.

Rated 3 out of 5by Acewray Cheap, but effective.
For the price you cannot go wrong, BUT be ready to interpret some of the directions, have too many/few screws, and adjust some parts to close or slide correctly. Of every item in the set none of the drawers, hinged parts, or moving sliders worked completely well. Finished look is good. Function is good. Ergonomics are good. Veneer is very thin, so be careful not to bang or scratch with hard objects. No venting for the computer housing in the desk/credenza, so may want to consider adding some. Cable routing options are very limited - none from below into the cpu cuddy. Wood finish is quite nice, but the grain pattern reoccurs often. Invest in a hand held staple gun as trying to tack on the wood paper backing is impossible utilizing the tiny black nails. These are items you should be ready to live with at this price point. Being a particle board and glue product I would not use in a moist or high humidity environment. If moving it would relocate poorly and likely not hold up.
