Good, but Not Great
I had this backpack for 2.5 years. While very rugged and durable on the outside, the inside material recently developed a tear which quickly spread to a gaping (8") hole between the main compartment and the side pockets. Before this, I would have given the unit 5 stars as it is very accomodating with the pockets and the exterior survived plenty of travel and use. Actually the exterior is still in VGC. I routinely loaded lots of gadgets, cables and cords, business portfolio and laptop, but the addition of bulky catalogues challenged the interior durability. Still will probably buy another if I can find the right sale.

Most capable business backpack ever
This backpack defines the business backpack, it has 13 zippers and 16 pockets and a pouch for the 16" laptop, my only con is that I wish that my 17.3" laptop to fit on the designated pouch.
Is durable, had it for almost a year and nothing to report.
Is comfortable, always travel with it.
Please up size the laptop capacity to 17" or 18" and make it universal.

Really great bag if you have a lot of gadgets
Review: I have *many* gadgets, chargers, cables, accessories, iPad, laptop, gps, portable scanner, etc and have a system worked out with the Wenger Synergy bag I've used for 7+ years: A place for everything and everything in its place.
The Wenger bag sets a high standard and still has some life in it, but I got bored and was hoping for something better. After a long, tedious search (you really have to put your stuff in a bag to see how it fits you) I found this one among the house-branded Ativa bags at Office Depot.
After a few business trips involving airline travel, I can say this is an excellent bag and *is* an improvement over the Wenger.
The materials are top-notch, heavy nylon/zippers and the construction looks good, although time will tell if I will get another 7 years out of it.
The large number of pockets (over 10 external zippers) is great for me and I particularly like the 2 quick-access pouches on the top for holding pocket contents when going through security, etc.
I also like the way it fits snugly over the handle of a rolling carry-on suitcase, which makes getting through the airport/hotel/etc easy.
All in all, a great bag and worth looking at if you have lots of gadgets, well made and well thought out.

Great for my Mobile Office or Diaper Bag!
I am an active boat broker (like a real estate agent but for boats) that requires me to spend most of my time away from my home office. Most days I'm showing or listing a boat, so my necessary tools/equipment list is fairly large.
Currently in this backpack I have the following items: digital camera, batteries, extra memory cards, business cards, tape measure, LED Flashlight, Zip Ties, Wire Cutter, Screwdriver, Small Adjustable Wrench, Tape, Notary Stamps, Stamp Ink Pads, 2" binder, 1" binder, 3 folders that carry current deal forms & extra blank forms, a few Lake Maps, Pens, Marker, Another stack of business cards, several sets of keys w/key floats, a Receipt Book, a Check Book & there is still a compartment for my laptop when needed.
I would have rated this item higher, but it must stand the test of time & I've only had it for about 3 weeks. Although it does seem to be constructed with quality materials & there was a card that mentioned a 3 year warranty (the card noted that there were details inside, but no other details were included, the card & receipt have been filed).
I looked at several other backpack options that were similar, but all lacked a few extra compartments - mainly the 3 exterior side pockets where I thought I could store a camera, tape measure, zip ties, screwdriver, etc with this one. Other backpacks only had 1 or two exterior pockets & allowed a pouch for a water bottle. The large side pocket on this one would hold an average size water bottle, but for me I prefer to use it for other things.
I should also note that I took this backpack on a family vacation with my wife, a 3 year old & a 1 year old & that led me to believe that this could be traded out for our diaper bag as it seemed to have adequate storage elements that our diaper bag features.
I must say that before this backpack I previously wheeled my mobile office with a wheeled briefcase that met my needs for about 2 years, it was great when I wheeled it, but began to become too heavy & burdensome when attempting to carry it, since I'm often going from a dock to a boat I felt the need to carry versus wheel - thus the backpack seemed like it would be perfect. So far so good.
