Just the right size to fit in the corner of a room. Heavy wood shelves and sides, relatively stable on carpet, and easy to assemble after you've put one together and know the steps. It took me less than an hour to put together each of these bookcases, and they look great.

Love the bookcase. Perfect size for my area and the color went with other furniture in my office. However, not all pieces had the letters for assembly on them, but I was able to figure it out my carefully looking at the pictures. I would recommend this bookcase for your office or home.

Rated 4 out of 5by BetsyR Pretty good product, at a great price
I usually don't write reviews like this, but I saw a really negative review for this item, and the person's experience was completely different from mine. I was Very happy with this item, especially considering the low price (and I had a 10% off coupon, so that was an extra bonus).
When I ordered this I knew it was made of "engineered wood", not hardwood. To be honest, I was prepared to be disappointed and possibly have to return it. But I was very pleasantly surprised with how it looks and how well it has held up (for over 6 months). I have a lot of books on the shelves, and so far they've held up pretty well without sagging. As a precaution, I did put my heaviest books on the bottom shelf because it has extra support from a trim piece on the front just below the bottom shelf.
The important thing to remember about assembling this bookcase is that you MUST securely nail the back panel to the rest of the bookcase like it tells you in the instructions. Otherwise it will wobble back and forth. I'd suggest starting by nailing just a few nails around the panel first, then be sure the frame is lined up at 90-degree angles (I did this by using one of the shelves as a "right angle ruler" and double checking with a bubble level tool). Once that's done, nail the rest of the nails at regular intervals around the entire back panel. Use ALL of the nails provided.
A general tip for "assemble at home" furniture: The instructions will tell you how many nails, screws, etc. should be included. If you're missing any parts or any parts are damaged or defective, call the manufacturer right away and ask them to send you the replacement(s). Most of these companies are happy to send you extra nails & screws (and even replacement shelves if one arrives damaged), rather than having you return the item to the store.
Hope that helps!
