    Rated 4.5 out of 5by 366 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5by Up grade from XP I wanted an upgrade from Windows XP Professional because Microsoft is going to discontinue support updates soon, but did not want to go to Windows 8. Windows 7 is much faster than XP was and it has all the features I wanted as well. The update went very smooth and the driver updates that I needed went well also. The transfer of my old files and settings went very well using Windows easy transfer and an external hard drive. Everything transferred to the new system without any issues. Windows 7 is a very good operating system. November 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5by good purchase items that are hard to find and not to expensive and good customer serservice can be found at office depot November 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5by Beautiful. I love Windows 7. It's just the best in every way! I love the new taskbar (except for the automatic grouping and hiding of labels - I make sure to turn that off right away, it's incredibly inconvenient and is even worse than the Mac Dock) and the brighter Aero colors than Windows Vista. It's nice and easy to install, a bit long maybe but that's to be expected given that it's an operating system :) It never crashes on me and never freezes. The performance and level of customization is great, too. I wish it weren't quite so expensive, especially to upgrade (full price to move from Home Premium to Professional???) but Home Premium is enough for my needs, I suppose. So overall: great, verging on perfect. Just drop the Mac-style taskbar, please. And forbid OEM vendors from preinstalling 120GB of 30-day trial junk... December 29, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5by Windows 7, Avoid it if you can I recently replaced my 10 yr. old Desktop with a new desktop, the brands are not important as any new one, other than Apple, will have Windows 7. Windows 7 is the most frustrating, un-user freindly peice of junk that I have ever used! Many of the functions that were on Windows XP are gone, or you have to be a complete computer geek to figure them out. I'm not going to try to list all my complaints here as I will probably explode with frustation before I'm finished. I should have listened to others and got an Apple. Maybe they will get it right by Wndows 15. December 28, 2011
