Stanley? Bostitch? Manual Pencil Sharpener, Antimicrobial
a great product
This manual pencil sharpener is so much better than the electric one we had before! We love it!

Don't understand the bad reviews
I am really puzzled at the bad reviews on this sharpener. I teach art so we sharpen lots of pencils in my classes. For one thing the wheel is good and firm on the sharpener, hard to change the holes which is good for kids that like spinning the wheel. So far after using it half a year, the wheel is still good and firm. The handle has not worked loose. It still smoothly sharpens a pencil with only a couple of cranks.I was so impressed I recommended these to my principal. Much better than the "other brand" cheap chrome sharpener with the loose adjuster wheel and the flimsy handle which falls off which is what I had before. I think the key is having the wheel turned so that the pencil fits firmly into the sharpener without wiggling. So many pencils are made cheaply now, with the lead offset, and even the best sharpener will not sharpen those.

Leave it in store
Bought the Bostitch manual pencil sharpener thinking it was as high quality as their products purchased in the past.
It sharpened only the tip end of the pencil and the shavings holder part is so cheaply made of thin stamped metal that it was more than frustrating to remove -- only sharpened one pencil -- and near impossible to put back onto the frame.
Took it back to Office Depot where a refund was easily gotten.
To me this item is a sad statement of Bostich's once valued product.
Now in search of a REAL sharpener from an old school classroom.

I bought this in the store where is was 29% more expensive than online. Although it appeared to be good quality, it sharpened very unevenly. I returned it and tried another from the shelf while in the store; it also sharpened unevenly. Seems to be a quality defect of this model. It is made in China - perhaps that says enough! Needless to say, I'm looking for another sharpener.
