Not for Classroom Use!
I put two of these up in my classroom (art), last year. The first one broke three weeks, ago - it broke off where the support "arms" meet the metal plaque that screws into the wall. The other broke a few days ago when the handle fell off. Disappointed in this brand! What happened to their quality?

Get the job done.
Nice looking with the improvement on the handle. Works well and perfect for the classroom user.

Should have read more reviews before making this purchase. When first taken out of the box it seemed like a good quality sharpener. Then reality set in -- it sharpens very unevenly. Doesn't matter how slow or fast you go, still the same results.

eats up the pencil
Sharpener seems to be well built, made with metal parts. Once pencil is inserted, you have to check the pencil after a few cranks to make sure you're not over-sharpening. It is easy to reduce your pencil a whole inch just by cranking a little too much too fast. And if you keep going, you won't have much pencil left. Also, it sharpens unevenly on one side more than the other, which is a little annoying.
