    Rated 4.4 out of 5by 88 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5by Great Desk! PRICE vs PRODUCT: I have a small office and I wanted an L-shaped desk that fit my needs and my space. Most L-shaped desks I'd seen before buying this one are very beautiful and sprawling, I needed a more compact version to fit my office. Also, other L-shaped desks are sold in pieces (in 3 parts: 2 desks and the corner that connects them). Each individual piece close to $200, making the "Realspace Mezza L-Shaped Glass Computer Desk" the cheaper choice of the bunch. I considered buying one online, but since I live in Puerto Rico, many online sellers refuse to ship items here or the shipping and handling cost along would have doubled the final price. This desk is heavy due to the two sheets of tempered glass. ASSEMBLY: The desk came with all the items necessary to assemble it without problems. There were no missing pieces, everything was individually wrapped and spaced out with sheets of foam. The screws came neatly organized in a cardboard package already divided and labeled according to sizes and at least one extra of each type. The assembly itself it's pretty straight forward; but it does takes a while. It took me well over an hour to fully assembled it by myself, (and I had cats going crazy over the box and all the cardboard). The only downside (and what I believe slows things down a bit) is that the instructions have no explanation. It is just a series of drawings depicting the desk and the part you are supposed to be working on at any given moment. Worth Noting: The sheets of tempered glass are kept in place by a combination of the tight space between the desk's edge and the connecting center piece, and 6 plastic suction cups along the length of the two metal rods (per glass). The suction cups are "secured" in place by pushing them down into their holes and twisting (as if you are screwing them in, but without actually screwing anything). This design not only is cumbersome to work with (as the suction cups keep popping out and falling off while you try to place the glass on top), but also had me worried that the glass would fall off. Likewise, there are 6 of them per glass, trying to align the glass over them takes some serious patience. But once in place the glass is heavy enough that so far the cups haven't moved. I'm praying that it continues to be that way. MATERIALS: The desk is made out of pressed cardboard (or wood) with a laminated finish that imitates cherry wood grain. The legs are full metal pieces and the glass sheets are tempered. Which comes with a warning to not place stuff that are neither too hot, not too cold over it. The glass is the heavier part of the desk, and although it is not solid wood, the desk feels very sturdy. All of the pieces are secured with more screws than you will wish to count. My only complaint is the lack of color variety (only cherry wood and black). LOOK AND FEEL I was originally looking for a white-on-glass desk to go along with the rest of my (predominantly) white office, but after months of looking for a good desk on my price range, I decided to settle for the cherry finish. That is not to say that this desk is ugly, on the contrary, is the only wood-color desk that made me reconsidered. It is just not what I had originally intended to buy. Regardless, I am very happy with my purchase. September 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5by Great Price, Great Deal For an experienced "amateur furniture assembler", this desk is a no-brainer to assemble so go get it! Goes together really easily. For a beginner, you'll need a bit of patience, but you can do it, too Nice look, great price. September 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5by Great computer desk Setting up new home office. This desk was very easy to build, looks great, and has plenty of work space. Glad we made this choice and not go with one of those "standard office desks". September 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5by This was an experience READ BEFORE INSTALLING ---- - Be sure to rotate the cable grommets into place with one another before installing it onto the wooden L connecting piece, TRUST ME it will save you a headache. - When installing the suction cups into their spots the trick is to apply pressure while rotating them into place, the downward pressure and screwing like movement snaps it into it's spot (having two people helps with time and thumb soreness prevention) - Don't do what i did and accidentally hide the instructions under all the styrofoam and cardboard, or else you'll have to look at the instructions from a computer screen constantly. Other than those tips the rest is very self explanatory. OH ALSO The glass has to be put in just the right place (not too far against one side of the wood or the other), or else whenever pressure is applied to the glass top you'll hear a noise everytime, not a stability issue more so a minor annoyance for those that like perfection.
