Not reliable/durable I bought a Lenovo X230 with a SATA hard drive about a year ago. The computer had a very good performance for a while. After a couple of months, I dropped it from a couch and it stopped working. My previous ThinkPad's were much more reliable, but I suspected that it fell down on a bad spot. I have to note that the repair service worked wonderfully. In the following months, I dropped it from my lap, when I was sitting on the ground, and boom, stopped working again. The harddrive was changed by the repair service and I had the good old machine back. Just yesterday, the laptop dropped again and the hard drive stopped working yet again. I have never used a ThinkPad this unreliable before. May 25, 2014
Last of the good ThinkPads? This X230 is typically good, needed for its small size. Satisfactory, once we installed Classic Shell to bypass Windows 8 idiocy. May 14, 2014
bad keyboard, bad screen while the performance and general fabrication still seems ok, two things are disappointing with this laptop: * the screen resolution is not good enough, the screen itself is smaller than it could be for the size. * the proven 6 key block with pg-up, pg-dwn, delete top right got replaced by - nothing :( if i want a keyboard layout like this, i do not need to go for lenovo with this price. Good PC It is a great Pc with very little tech issues. Sadly i have it because of its moblity and it does not take being dropped very well. I dropped it from 3 feet and the back panel is dent inwards, dents are all around it, and a piece broke off. I hope it will be fine. April 2, 2014
