I have 4 of these presently and plan to get more. I love them because they are inexpensive and do the job. The shelves are adjustable and the black bookcases look very classy and make the items on the shelves stand out. I actually use one of these as an entertainment unit. I cut holes in the back of the bookcase and put my tv, dvd and cable box wiring through the holes. I have all four bookcases sitting against each other on one wall which hides all the wiring from the tv/dvd/cable and looks really great. I have had compliments and people saying, "Wow, I am going to do that too!" Why spend money on an entertainment unit that takes up too much room when you can streamline by creating one from a bookcase. If you decide to change your mind down the road, you just have to get black posterboard and patch up the spots.
The only complaint I have about these bookcases is that the back is black cardboard, but put together it looks great and like I said I am buying more. I actually have plans to convert some of these bookcases into a display case by putting in sliding plexiglass doors.

I bought this bookcase today. Luckily, it was on sale. I've put 3 shelf bookcases together before so I thought this wouldn't be that difficult. It took 3 hours because you have to build a 3 shelf bookcase then attach a 2 shelf bookcase to it. The screws wouldn't go in straight. The "skirt" wouldn't fit at all because either the bottom holes were drilled too low or the skirt itself was made too thick. Then, the back paneling (which is extremely flimsy) wouldn't sit straight and once I finally got it positioned somewhat correctly, one of the nails split the wood (luckily it's underneath a shelf so it's unnoticeable). Despite the issues I experienced, it was worth the $40 I spent and serves its purpose.

Pretty easy to put together. (Easier than some others I've ordered.) A good all-purpose inexpensive office bookcase. Nice looking.
