Great desk! This is a very nice desk. Unlike most other reviews about this desk I didn't have any trouble putting it together despite two of the pieces not being marked; it was pretty obvious where they went. Like other reviews, it did take a while to put it together but look at the size of it; it's bound to take a while to put together. The only complaint I had was that they shorted me one small, round cam connector which I had to buy at the hardware store and I very well could have misplaced that myself. Overall we are happy with it. August 7, 2014
Great desk! Nice quality desk, lots of storage. Like other reviewers said, takes forever to assemble! Take the day off from work or do it on a weekend! Instructions are very clear, not hard, just time consuming. Well worth the effort, though. July 31, 2014
Assembly a serious consideration This desk looks great, and is sturdy. It is a great desk once it is all put together. HOWEVER. it weighs more than the average full grown adult and it takes so much time and effort to assemble. I worked on it for 12 straight hours to get it assembled. (but that was one person- a team could go faster). If you are up for the task of assembly GO FOR IT! The desk is great. If you do not have the great craftsman/carpenter urge to build things this may not be the desk for you. June 16, 2014
Value for the money Bought this product recently and got it fixed. I should say I just loved it after taking some effort to put it up. I do agree with the other reviewers here that fixing this up is a not a very easy task. 100% true that you should organize each and every parts separately before starting your work. It takes about 2-3 hours max if you are not a pro in doing such things. Please see my images on how i really sorted out the items especially the screws, nuts and bolts. The color looks awesome on my wall and very much comfortable to work on this. It has lots of spaces to keep your books etc etc. Do take note that some of the items do not have any label on it and you will need to be little extra careful while fixing. Oh yea i did it all by alone and it was not that tough. Overall I'm happy for the price i paid and do recommend this product if you are look out for the money. April 1, 2014

40 wide by 18 high when you measure it from the front. But there is a trim piece on front of the hutch. Behind the trim piece it is actually 44 inches wide. The hutch is 10 inches deep from the back

No, it comes very much not put together. I paid for assembly. I might have tried it myself, except that I also bought the bookcase and file cabinet, which also come unassembled. All three pieces was more than I was willing to take on, or had time for. It took the professional assembler a couple of hours to put the desk together. It probably would have taken me twice that.

The hutch dimensions for the monitor are 22.44" tall and 35.78" wide. So you should have no problem at all fitting a 27" screen.

    I hope this helps.

In the picture, the keyboard drawer only has enough room for the keyboard and I don't see a mouse. The reviews have also mentioned that this space is somewhat limited. Would this space have room for a mousepad next to the keyboard?

Can the keyboard drawer and the drawer that is attached to it, the smaller drawer to the right, be separated? I want the smaller drawer as part of the desk, but NOT the keyboard drawer.

Depending on the size of your printer it can be stored behind the glass doors or behind the bottom left door. If you are using the keyboard drawer to house a laptop the printer can be sat on the main desk top.
