Began with Tena pantyliners years ago and now using Poise Hourglass Maximum Pads. I've tried many other brands over the 15 years. After moving up from pantyliners to thinner pads, I'm now using Poise Maximum regular length. I've used both regular and long in maximum and ultimate. For my substantial leakage (made worse by diuretics), none of the 4 styles really catch all the leakage. Using a longer pad doesn't solve the problem either. That just adds more bulk in my underwear, with 1/4 - 1/3 of the upper front and the back 1/4 - 1/3 of the pad not used at all. But the middle doesn't catch it all. There is leakage at the center sides. I don't have any issues with leakage while I sleep. I agree with another reviewer regard the cloth-like wrapping. To quote her:"However, I would like to see the packaging changed from the cloth-like wrap. It's hard to find the opening and always tears when I open it. I would like to see it in a plastic bag which could be used for disposal."
Having stated that, I still recommend Poise Hourglass because I've not found anything better.

Nothing is more embarrassing to a woman than to have leakage. We experience it with our periods and, as we age, with our bladders.
Poise pads have saved me from many embarrassing moments.

My job requires me to climb up and down and spend time in areas far away from bathroom facilities. I feel confident about my activities for the most part as long as I plan smart. I really like the hourglass shape. The only suggestion is that they could be a little longer in front. I have tried the longer pads, but they are too long and bulky. PS> I work for a mill which just might manufacture the chemical cellulose that goes into your SAM. I know some of ours does. Everything comes around!
