Gear Head 2.4GHz Wireless Optical Mouse, Black
Bad connection and kills batteries
First of all, this mouse completely used a set of batteries within 24 hrs, and I am not about to by batteries every week just for a mouse. Second, the mouse periodically loses connection and stops working. This is not worth my time or money. Returning.

For nearly two years I used the cheapest GE wireless mouse available. And it was great. It had a fantastic range, didn't suck batteries dry. I could have my hand covering the usb receiver part of the mouse and it'd still work fine. I'd have my computer and/or mouse at awkward angles and distances and it'd still work great. Heck, I even dropped it quite a bit and it still worked fantastic. After it finally broke (it was accidentally launched across the room and even then only the scroll wheel was broken), I sought out the cheapest mouse I could find, as I was on a budget.
So I bought this one. And it's a piece of junk. The only time it ever actually works is when I'm sitting at a desk, where the mouse and computer are on a flat surface. The mouse can't be more than 18 inches away from the receiver thingy. I frequently like to put my legs up on my table and put my computer on my legs. The mouse will not work at all in this position. If I don't move said mouse for a period of about ten minutes (I often watch TV or movies on my laptop) it stops working and won't start again until I turn it off, take a battery out, stick it back in, and turn it back on. And sometimes I'll be using it, and it'll just completely stop working.
I've had this mouse about 6 weeks and it's been driving me crazy. Do NOT buy this mouse.

Economical and Dependable
I have been replacing old mice with these in our office for over a year. No problems at all. It is a great price for a basic mouse.

Very Poor Indeed - NOT Recommed
Bought a couple of these because of the price and they worked ok until I made the mistake of using the two of them within proximity of each other. After that NEITHER of them worked and I was not able to make them work again. Every PC/laptop I put them on after that recognizes that there's a USB receiver attached and it will install the drivers, but the mouse will not connect so I now have not one, but two paperweights. The manufacturer's support is garbage. Will not buy Gear Head again. I'll stick with Logitech or Microsoft, it's not worth saving a few bucks if I have to replace them again after a couple of months. Users who rate this more than 1 or 2 stars are only lucky and are probably on borrowed time until something goes wrong.
