Pencil works great for the first few moments. However the silver stabilizing tube around the lead, where it exits the nozzle of the pencil tube, falls out without warning. Without that stabilizing tube the lead breaks every time you write with the pencil. Totally worthless and a waste of pencil lead. You spend all your time advancing and replacing the lead. Worst mechanical pencil ever.

At first I though these are great mechanical pencil and the leads were not breaking....then the leads started breaking as with so many other mechanical pencils. The pencils is good until the little metal tip that holds the lead in place disappears. As long as that stays in place the pencil is great. When that is gone, there is no stability to the lead and the pencil needs to be disposed of.

I purchased a pack of these to replace some worn out Twist-Erase GTs. (also from Pentel and with .7mm lead) While priced similarly in my store as the GTs, they fell short of my expectations. The nose on this pencil design is too far away from the point, meaning the lead breaks more often and when it runs low more lead wasted after each strand is used. However, if the eraser is worn down you can still put in lead, but they don't come with extra erasers and the included ones are tiny. It does fit nicely in the hand, but only purchase if you write very lightly. In my opinion, the extra dollar fifty for the GTs is worth it.
