Fellowes Gel Mouse Pad With Wrist Rest, Sandy Beach
Need to replace
I've had this awhile and though it's comfortable and cleanable, it has taken on a moldy smell that won't go away. Agree on the discoloration as well.

Easy to Clean
I've had this for 6 months and it's much better than the fabric-covered mouse pads. It wipes clean very easily and has a comfortable wrist-rest. The only negative is that after a while, the pad takes on a yellow stain, but it doesn't look that bad against the sandy beach background.

Am sure this is the best surface around
Am sure this is the best surface around after using for a single day, 24 hours. The next best surface was Apple's old Teflon? coated, slick surface, but that surface was for mice with rollers, 'mechanical mice.'
Optical mice changed what was needed, giveaway soft mousepads were terrible because the mouse sank into the foam and increased drag for clicking and dragging. All such movements were made harder.
In the store yesterday, I could press on the packaging and recognized when fabric or other coverings were too soft. The surface of this mousepad seemed 'just right,' and it is. It has a slightly granular, hard surface for my mouse to glide on.
I wish I could get the identical surface on one of those longer pads; they measure almost 10" long. I think that would be ideal, but I can easily get along with this mouse and I want to have this working surface and no other.
